About
Hi, nice to meet you and thanks for looking. There's a lot more words floating around after a decade working at Wieden + Kennedy, Publicis, Tribal DDB, Critical Mass, SapientNitro, SomeOddPilot and McGarryBowen, but I won't bore you with it. I have the stuff that I'm proud of up, and if you're into it, I'd love to work for you.
Back Alley Murmurs
Shaine Edwards - Creative Director at Wieden + Kennedy
Chris Le is a unique talent in the industry. His drive and eagerness to jump into briefs big and small, his ability to find humor in an otherwise dry project, and an approachable demeanor made him a key contributor on many pieces of business.
In our time working together, Chris helped a historic heritage brand find its voice on social. He managed a complicated relationship with celebrity talent on set, and he never failed to push conservative clients to make better work.
He’s widely traveled, deeply knowledgable on a variety of seemingly random subjects, has the sort of perspective gained only through direct life experience, and he’s funny as hell. I consider these fundamental aspects of a great writer, which Chris unmistakably is.
If none of these qualities are what you’re looking for in a creative, then I would simply direct your attention to his carefree mane of glorious, luscious, so-windswept-it’s-occasionally-infuriating rockstar hair.
John Dempsey - Strategy Director at Wieden + Kennedy
Take it from me, Creative Directors and agency leaders: Do not hire Chris unless you are ok with having one of the funniest, most resilient, most talented, adventurous and downright delightful writers in our industry contributing to your team. Seriously, don't do it, unless you want to have a ton of fun while you're working, and want to push your creative to areas of culture and community into exciting new territories. Chris's writing is sharp and courageous. He works fast, brings energy and charisma to every conversation, and will help you transform the culture of your team (probably) slow and drab to bright and exciting.
So I say again, don't hire Chris unless you are really ready for some incredible writing through the force of talent he brings to every project he works on.
Laura Wood - Creative Director at Wieden + Kennedy
Chris is a writer who packs a punch.
Subtlety is not his forte, nor would you want it to be.
He'll find every side of a creative problem and bring a unique perspective no matter what the challenge. He has heart, shows up with many ideas and is a loyal and genuine person. Like a side of beautifully cooked chicken with your writing assignments?
Welp, he brought it. And it's delicious.
DJ Francis - Engagement Director at Kapost
Don't let Chris' easy-going demeanor fool you - this cat is an amazing copy machine. There was a good period of time when this guy was THE online voice of Nissan, for crying out loud.
Chris is smart and hard-working. Everyone who works with him wants to do so again, me included. He's got talent, charm and the know-how to tell client stories in a compelling, cogent way.
Until I have the chance to work with Chris again, I envy all of you who do so in the meantime. He is quality, no mistake.
Tony Pawela - Creative Director at Leo Burnett
Once, I kept a tally of the number of puns Chris Le said in one day. I counted 41. That may not seem like a lot to the average person, but when you divide that by 8 hours in a day you get five an hour. Which is about one every ten minutes. I sat directly behind Chris Le at the time. While I’m not really a punny guy, I enjoyed that day quite a bit. It was a day I’ll never forget—just like every other day I worked with Chris. He’s a joy to have around. His ideas are never mild, mediocre or moldy. His writing is fantastic.
Even the puns.
Rob Neveau - Associate Creative Director at McGarryBowen
Chris Le is a creative force that brings out the best in everyone he touches. He touches me all the time, so I wrote this Haiku:
Chris Le oh Chris Le,
A man of many talents.
You should hire him now.
